Operational Procedure for Fitting a Thermal Roll Cage Shroud

Resources Required: 1 person; no tools.

1. Place the thermal roll cage shroud (“shroud”) to the rear of the roll cage i.e. the opposite side to the open/gated side.

2. Locate the top panel (the “lid”) of the shroud and grab it with 2 hands, lifting upwards

3. Continue to pull the shroud upwards until the top panel is slightly higher than the top of the roll cage

4. While maintaining a grip on the top panel with one hand, use the other hand to pull the front panel of the shroud upwards so it too comes slightly higher than the top of the roll cage (you can allow this panel to flip over the top of the top panel of the shroud that you are holding in the other hand).

5. Position the shroud so that it is at a 45 deg angle to the roll cage and still slightly above the top of it and slide it horizontally onto the roll cage working from the rear of the roll cage to the front until it fits snugly.

6. You can either leave the front panel flipped over thus leaving the front opening of the roll cage exposed or you can pull the front panel downwards ready to be secured to the rest of the shroud

Front Panel Operation

Resources Required: 1 person; no tools.

1. While the shroud is being used to protect goods from an alien temperature regime, it should be opened as few times as possible. If it is necessary to open it consider, if possible, opening it partially. Every time the panel is opened, protection from temperature loss will be significantly undermined.

2. To close the front panel, ensure that the rest of the shroud is well fitted and not skewed in any way

3. Starting from the top of the left side, start to locate the Velcro from the front panel onto the Velcro of the adjacent side panel, working down, ensuring they are well located to each other and press them together. Do the same with the right side. This must be done for the whole vertical strip on both left and right sides

4. To open the front panel, grab it from the bottom with one hand and firmly pull it upwards
